What my Grandma told

Our ancestors did a lot of things , which we were asked to follow . We neglected a lot of things saying those are superstitious . Let us look at some things which we forgot to do or else we don't feel like doing.

I still remember my grand-mom mixing cow-dung in water and splashing it on the entrance , I used to think , how disgusting it is , till i came to know that the cow-dung acts as an anti-bacterial agent , which cleans our foot as we enter our house .

We were told , during pregnancy , if there is an eclipse , we are not supposed to come out . Now it's proved scientifically that the eclipse affects the developing fetus .

During Eclipse , we were not allowed to eat , and the holy grass ( Dabro ) is added to the food which is stored . This has also been proven scientifically that our digestive system doesn't work during eclipse .

We were told , we should not sleep with our head placed in north .We were told only dead person's head is placed in north , we got scared and we never slept with our head in north . Now we have scientific proof that , it affects the brain development .

Relationship

Of late , I keep wondering about what is happening around ,you can ask me why suddenly ? We tend to think about anything only when it affects us right . Why is it , the friendship between people of opposite sex , always viewed with suspicion . You people can argue , no it's not so . But you will understand it is true , when you give it a thought . It is too difficult for a girl , when people from her same sex , refuse to understand and talk ill . Why does the spouse think , all that the person wants to share , should be only to her or him .

When I see the youngsters around , during the stage when they are in love itself , they don't like their partners talking with opposite sex , other than themselves . Where is the Trust , and what do they call love ??

You can't hold a person too long , by force . You will not succeed . Give your partner the breathing space , for your relationship to prosper . Every male will like an independent and strong willed women , till she is some one else's wife . If it comes to their wife ,trust me , they all want a wife who is dependent on them .Then they feel secure .
